Summer Open Gym!

Hello Warriors!

It’s been a WHILE! I hope you’ve enjoyed the last month’s break from Warrior events. I know I needed some down time!

Summertime!

For many, this holiday weekend marks the beginning of SUMMER! The weather has certainly encouraged these thoughts, and with summer break comes Warrior Summer Open Gym!!

Here’s what the weekly Summer Open Gym means for you:

  • Free weekly workout – Do your part in rust prevention with a weekly training to stay in decent condition in the off-season. Did I mention it’s FREE!?
  • Recruiting – Put the OPEN in Summer Open Gym by inviting any and all prospective ballers to the free Summer workout. In fact, please forward this info to ALL your homeschool groups to make sure they know about this!
  • Skill Development – Summer Open gyms will be led by current and future Warrior Coaches that will offer challenging drills to improve your bball skills as well as some very fun scrimmage time!
  • Timing –  There is ONE gym session a week per age group (age as of September 1st). Here’s the schedule:
    • Starting June 1st, on Thursdays at Traders Point Christian SCHOOL gym.
      • NOTE: June 1st open gym is 6:00-8:00p. AFTER JUNE 1st, the schedule will be…
      • 8:00-9:30p – Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity (Boys ages 18 and under)
    • Starting June 5th, on Mondays at the Traders Point Christian CHURCH gym, the following ages will have open gym at these times:
      • 5:00-6:00p – Boys ages 10 and Under (10U)
      • 6:00-7:00p – Boys ages 12 and Under (12U)
      • 7:00-8:00p – Boys ages 14 and Under (14U / Junior High)
    • Starting June 6th, on Tuesdays at the Traders Point Christian SCHOOL gym:
      • 8:00-9:30p – All Lady Warriors
    • Open gym will run June through August. September is the Warrior Pause, and the new season practices will start in October.
  • Locations – Please note above that we are at two different gym locations, right next to each other.  Mondays are at the TPC Church gym. Tuesdays and Thursdays are at the TPC School gym, that is located right behind the Church.
