Warrior Summer Open Gym!

Hello Warriors!

It’s been a WHILE! I hope you’ve enjoyed the last month’s break from Warrior events. I know I needed some down time!

Summertime!

For many, this holiday weekend marks the beginning of SUMMER! The weather has certainly encouraged these thoughts, and with summer break comes Warrior Summer Open Gym!!

Here’s what the weekly Summer Open Gym means for you:

  • Free weekly workout – Do your part in rust prevention with a weekly training to stay in decent condition in the off-season. Did I mention it’s FREE!?
  • Recruiting – Put the OPEN in Summer Open Gym by inviting any and all prospective ballers to the free Summer workout. In fact, please forward this info to ALL your homeschool groups to make sure they know about this!
  • Skill Development – Summer Open gyms will be led by current and future Warrior Coaches that will offer challenging drills to improve your basketball skills as well as some fun scrimmage time!
  • Timing –  There is ONE gym session a week per age group (age as of August 1st). Here’s the schedule:
    • Starting June 3rd, on Mondays at Traders Point Christian Church gym.
      • 5:00-6:30p – All boys 12 and under (10U and 12U age groups)
      • 6:30-8:00p – Boys 14 and under (Junior High age group)
        • No known exceptions to this schedule.
    • Starting June 3rd, on Mondays at Westside Nazarene:
      • 6:00-7:30p – ALL Lady Warriors (all girls, all age groups)
      • 7:30-9:00p – JV and Varsity Boys – (18 and under)
      • Exception!!!  NO gym time on June 10th – instead…
        • Open gym this week will be on Thursday, June 13th. Same time slots as Monday.
    • Open gym will run June through August. September is the Warrior Pause, and the new season practices will start in October.
  • Locations – Please note above that we are at two different gym locations,
