Warrior Update – 3/6/23
Senior Day Recap
The Warriors swept the Sons on Saturday to cap off the regular season. NICE JOB, WARRIORS!! The only losers were the 12 White boys who took an L to their Dads, despite a calf injury to the Dads point guard Rudy Guerrero, causing the Dads to finish with only 4 players. Maybe next year, boys! 😉
The Seniors were recognized for their accomplishments and contributions in the Warrior program. We want to wish them well as they cross the threshold into the next stage of life. As God encouraged Joshua as he crossed over the threshold into a land of great promise and immense challenges,
“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Seniors, I hope in some way, the time you spent with the Warriors has prepared you to be a Warrior in God’s Kingdom; ready to ‘destroy every argument raised against God’ with your passion for excellence, humility, good work ethic, servanthood, loyalty, gratitude, and faith. May God bless you!
Final Practice at Nationals – Sunday Night!
As we have done in the past, the Warriors have reserved gym time on Sunday night for one last shoot around before the week begins. If you are in town by the below times, there is gym space available for you to take some shots at one of the locations that we’ll be playing at during the week. Here’s the location and schedule:
- Location: Fieldhouse Sportscenter, 2235 W Kingsley St. Springfield, MO 65807
- Times:
- 6:00-7:30 – 10U, 12U White (Court: Cox Health); 12U Red, JH (Court: Hiland Dairy)
- 7:30-9:00 – JV and Varsity (Court Cox Health); Lady Warriors (Court: Hiland Dairy)
