Lady Marlins Basketball Opportunity
Hello Warrior Nation,
While I would have much rather come to you with “Guess what, we’re sourcing for a Warriors girl team!” – I am coming to you with a similar option for your teenage daughter.
Tim & Tia Litz, long time servants and leaders in our program, have a note for you! For those unaware, the Warriors and Marlins share a hotel at basketball nationals in Missouri so our programs have grown to be like distant cousins. (When our guys play the Marlins – it’s all ball!) See the note below 😊

— start note from Tia Litz —
Do you know of any high school age girls (age 14+) that might be interested in playing basketball this season? If so, this message is for you!
The Lady Marlins is a homeschool girls’ basketball team based on the west side of Indianapolis, and their home practice facility is the Westside Church of the Nazarene on West 10th Street. Prospective players do not necessarily need to have basketball experience, they just need to be willing to learn. The girls practice on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30pm – 7:00pm in the church gym, and their season usually runs from October – February.
The Lady Marlins have been around for several years, but due to a large number of seniors graduating at the end of last season, the team is in need of more players. If your high school aged daughter or someone you know is potentially interested in playing girls’ basketball, they can either give me (Tia Litz) a call at 317-679-9782 to get more details, or they can just come to an upcoming practice and check things out for themselves. If it’s easier to just reply to this message with questions, that’s fine as well.
Thanks for considering,
Tia
